Brain Activity for Personality Types v1.0

NOTE: As of right now I'm working primarily on functionality and performance so sorry for the programmer art and design 🙃. 

This app is a learning tool based on Dr. Dario Nardi's book "Neuroscience of Personality: Brain Savvy Insights for All Types of People." Here's a guide on how to use it and what to expect in the future:

How to Use:

• Press "ESC" to pause/un-pause the game. "ESC" will also close region pop-ups.

• Select a personality type from the dropdown to see what level of activity was measured in the different regions for an individual of that personality type.
• Color Legend:
  • Low = Blue
  • Medium = Green
  • High = Yellow
  • Very High = Red

• Hover your mouse over the regions for a list of high-level functions which that region is responsible for.
• Click on a region for a much more detailed breakdown. These breakdowns include observations noticed about the region during the study and practical ways the region affects our behavior on a macro level.

What is this App?

This app allows you to explore the science of how the use of different brain regions creates different personality types in individuals, based on Dr. Dario Nardi's research.

• Discover which brain regions are most active for different personality types.
• Understand yourself on a deeper level and compare differences between personality types.
• Learn a new way to think about personalities while also building your knowledge of the brain in general.

Additional Info:

Average activity levels in the different brain regions vary among individuals leading to unique emergent behaviors, ultimately producing what we recognize as personality types.

Differences in brain region activity can indicate distinct thinking patterns and preferences.

(Hopefully) Future Features:

• Added general information to enhance understanding of presented data, including concepts from personality science and neuroscience.
• Additional modes such as brain activity simulations that show the complexity of the brain in action.
• More modes for viewing the data instead of just personality type. Things like, social regions, or intuitive regions, or maybe even action-oriented vs info-oriented regions.

As this app evolves, it aims to provide a comprehensive learning experience about how different personality types engage various brain regions, offering insights into individual thinking patterns and cognitive preferences. Stay tuned for updates and new features!
